Outdoor Learning Center
Learning By Doing
The Outdoor Education Program is built around the concept of experiential learning – learning by doing – as a powerful way to get students excited about the outdoors and interested in learning about the natural world. Through a variety of Academic and Adventure courses, students are engaged in hands-on discovery, problem-solving, and group development. All of our courses are designed to meet both your class needs as well as the current TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills), and are facilitated by our highly trained and engaging staff.
Our belief is that an outdoor education program should challenge a student intellectually, socially, and physically. To accomplish this, we offer a variety of Academic and Adventure Courses to choose from. We’ll work with your faculty to design a unique program that meets your students’ learning goals and needs.
Trips can range from one to three days in length. Day trips are an awesome and easy way to experience Outdoor Education, while overnight trips bring opportunity for even more development and fun as your group is truly immersed in the experience.
