The aim of the Golf Classic is to raise money for HLC’s Summer Collegiate Staff Scholarship Fund. This scholarship supports the college students who will be serving at HLC in the 2024 Summer Collegiate Staff. Camp would not happen without our college summer staff. In 2017, the HLCCC Board voted to name the tournament the John Rudd Golf Classic. Dr. Rudd served on the HLCCC Board of Directors for over 30 years and raised tens of thousand of dollars for the camp.

The John Rudd Golf Classic is the primary Scholarship fundraiser for our Summer Staff.
A typical day for a summer staff member begins at 6:30am and ends at 11:30pm. Thye are our cook, lifeguards, trash collectors, concession stand workers, greeters, first aid givers, nurses, photographers, landscapers, game facilitators, clenaing crews, and so much more! Simply Put without hte Summer Staff summer camp could not happen
The primary way we willl cover the costs of our tournament is through the enlistment of sponsors from the Highland Lakes Board. We help enlist Title Sponsor(s), Major Sponsor(s), and Hole Sponsors
The procceds from the 2023 Golf Tournament will be designated to provide Summer Staff members a scholarship which will be sent ot the university/college of their choice upon the completion of their summer assignment. This is a huge blessing!
You get your team together, or if you don’t have enough people to play on a 4 person team, you can register and we will pair you with others to play.
